Population genetics

Population genetics is like a family tree. It looks at the different traits in a group of people, like eye color or freckles, and how they were passed down from one generation to the next. It's like looking at everyone in the group and how they are related and where they come from. Scientists use population genetics to make predictions about how different traits might evolve or change over time in a group.
