ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Postfordism

Postfordism is a way of working that started in the late 20th century. It refers to when a business is organized in a way that instead of having each person doing one task from start to finish, different people work together on a particular task. For example, instead of one person making a toy car from beginning to end, different people might work together to make the car, with each person doing just a few pieces of the car - like painting it, adding the wheels, and putting it together. This makes it easier for businesses to make larger numbers of products quickly.
