Princely states of Pakistan
Okay kiddo, so a long time ago, before Pakistan was even a country, there were these places called princely states. These were like mini kingdoms ruled by princes who were like kings. There were a lot of these princely states all over the place that is now Pakistan.
When Pakistan became a country in 1947, some of these princely states decided to join Pakistan and become part of the country. But others decided to stay independent and not join either Pakistan or India (which was also created at the same time).
For a while, these independent princely states were kinda like their own little countries, but eventually they all joined either Pakistan or India. Some of them even fought wars with each other to decide which country they wanted to be a part of!
