ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Register transfer language

Register Transfer Language (RTL) is a way of writing instructions for computers. It tells the computer what it needs to do, step by step. For example, if you wanted to make a cup of hot chocolate, you would tell the computer to do things like get the mug, pour hot water in it, add hot chocolate mix and stir the cup. Each step of the process is a different instruction written in RTL. It's like giving the computer a list of things to do and the computer follows each step until it has made the hot chocolate!
