Ring cairn

Imagine you are playing in a big field and you build a fort out of rocks in a circle. This is very similar to a ring cairn! A ring cairn is a special kind of structure that was made by ancient people a long, long time ago.

It's like a big circle made out of rocks, with no entrance or exit. Sometimes there might be a big rock in the middle too. People think it might have been used for special ceremonies or even to bury important people.

Scientists have found ring cairns all over the world, from Scotland to Korea! Even though they were built a long time ago, they still tell us important things about the people who made them and what they thought was important.
