Savant syndrome is a very rare condition where a person who may have a disability like autism or a brain injury, can have a special talent, called a "savant skill". It's like having a superpower for one specific thing, like being able to draw a picture perfectly after only seeing it once or remembering every detail of a specific day from many years ago.
People who have savant syndrome usually struggle with everyday tasks, like socializing or communicating, but are able to do these incredible things that seem amazing to others. It's kind of like having a computer with a really powerful graphics card for a special task but not being able to do regular things like homework or using the internet. Scientists still don't fully understand why some people with certain disabilities develop these special skills but it's amazing to see what their brains can do.
