Slavery reparations scam

A slavery reparations scam is when someone who isn't actually entitled to receive a payment related to slavery tries to take advantage of the system and take money they are not entitled to. So, someone might say they are a descendant of people who were affected by or held in slavery but in reality they just want the money. They are trying to trick people into giving them the money that should be going to the people or the families of those who were actually affected by slavery.
