ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Software project management

Software project management is like a plan to help guide a team of people (or even just one person!) to build something like a computer program. It helps figure out the steps that need to be taken and the people and tools needed to complete the project. All the steps include figuring out what needs to be done, when it needs to be done and in what order. It can also help keeping track of the time and money needed for each step and milestones so everyone knows how the project is doing.
