Storage area network

A storage area network, or SAN, is a special type of network that helps store and manage data. It works by taking all the data stored on computers or other devices, like a server, and moving it to a centralized storage device. The SAN also helps manage how that data is moved between computers and other devices by using a special type of software called a "storage switch." This allows companies to store and access their data more quickly and easily, especially when multiple people and devices need to access the same data.
