ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Telecommunications Industry Association

Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) is an organization that helps people and companies communicate with each other through different types of technology.

Think of TIA as a big group of people who work together to make sure that everyone has good phone service, fast internet, and other ways to communicate with each other. They create rules and standards for how different types of technology should work, so that everyone can use them safely and easily.

For example, TIA might make rules for how cell phone towers should be built to make sure that they are safe and can communicate with your phone properly. They might also create rules for how internet companies should provide service to make sure that your internet speed is fast enough to watch videos or play games.

TIA works with lots of different companies and groups, like phone companies, internet service providers, and even the government, to make sure that everyone can communicate with each other in the best way possible.
