Telephony means talking over the phone. You pick up a phone and talk to someone far away. The phone uses a network of wires and signals to connect you to the person you want to talk to. It's like magic! But it's not just magic, it's science too. A long time ago, phones were just two cans connected by a string. People would talk into one can and the voice would travel across the string to the other can. But now, there are so many wires and signals that connect us to everyone in the world. It's amazing!
