ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

TrueNorth

True north is a direction, like north or south, but it's the one on a map that points to the geographic North Pole. The North Pole is a special place on the Earth because it's where all the lines of longitude on a map come together and point in the same direction: true north. That's why true north is important for navigation, to make sure you know which way you're going and how far you have to travel!
