Tumulus

A tumulus is like a big pile of dirt that people made a long, long time ago. It's sort of like a hill, but it's not made by nature - people made it by piling up rocks and dirt. Sometimes, they even put important people or things inside the tumulus! It's kind of like a very old and big treasure chest. People might have made tumuli for different reasons, like to show off how powerful they were or to bury someone important. But now, tumuli can be really cool places to visit and learn about history!
