Undocumented students in the United States

Okay kiddo, some people come to live in the United States from other countries without permission from the government. We call these people "undocumented" because they do not have the right papers to be here.

Some of these undocumented people are also students. That means they go to school, do homework, and take tests just like any other student. But even though they are students, they still don't have permission to be in the United States.

This can make things difficult for these students. For example, they might not be able to get financial aid to help pay for college. They might also have a hard time finding a job after they graduate, because many employers require people to be legal residents of the United States.

However, even though undocumented students face some challenges, they still work hard to succeed. They want to learn and build a better life for themselves and their families. And many people in the United States believe that these students deserve a chance to stay and contribute to our society, even if they came here without permission.
