ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Unfair election

Okay, kiddo, let me try to explain what an unfair election is. So, imagine you and your friends want to choose a new captain for your playtime, and you all vote for who you think would be the best fit. But what if one of your friends tried to cheat by looking at who you voted for and copying your choice? That wouldn't be fair, right?

Well, the same thing can happen in bigger elections, like when grown-ups vote for their leaders. Sometimes, people cheat by doing things like:

- Only letting some people vote and not others
- Changing votes so they're different than what people actually voted for
- Threatening or bribing people to vote a certain way
- Spreading lies or rumors to make people change their mind about who to vote for

These things can make an election unfair because not everyone gets to have an equal say in who they want to lead them. That's why it's important to make sure elections are fair, and that everyone's vote really counts. Does that make sense?
