Upper Backward Castes

Okay kiddo, let me help you understand what 'upper backward castes' means.

In India, people are divided into different groups called castes. Some castes have been considered higher or more powerful than others for a long time. This way of dividing people based on their birth is called the caste system.

According to this system, some people who belong to the higher castes have more privileges and advantages compared to others. However, some people from these higher castes fall behind in terms of education, wealth, and social status. These groups are called backward castes.

Now, some of these backward castes are considered upper because they are slightly better off and have more power and privileges compared to other backward castes. They are still part of the backward caste group, but they have more opportunities and advantages compared to others in that group.

So, when we say upper backward castes, we mean those castes that are considered better off than other backward castes, but they still belong to the backward caste group. It's important to remember, though, that the whole concept of caste is not fair, and everyone should be treated equally regardless of their birth or background.
