Website defacement is when someone changes the look of a website, often to post a message or images they don’t like. It’s like graffiti, except it’s on a website instead of a wall. The person doing the defacing can change how the website looks or even how it works, ruining it for everyone else. It’s like if someone changed the art on your bedroom wall to something you don’t like – but you didn’t know who did it, and you can’t fix it.
