ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

biodistribution

Biodistribution is a way of understanding where certain substances go inside the body after you’ve taken them. For example, when you eat something it can be divided into different parts inside your body. Different parts of the food will travel to different places, like your stomach, intestines, or even your brain. The same thing happens when you take medicine or other substances. Biodistribution tells us where those things go, like if they end up in your brain, lungs, liver, or other parts of your body. This information helps us make sure that a medicine or other substance is safe and that it will work as it should.
