Feedback control systems are machines that use information about the machine's performance to automatically adjust their actions accordingly. For example, you might use a feedback control system if you wanted to keep your room at a comfortable temperature without having to constantly adjust the heater. The system would measure the temperature and then automatically adjust the heater to make sure it stays at the temperature you set.
