hall effect sensor

A hall effect sensor is a device that measures the magnetic field around it. It has a small semiconductor chip inside that converts the information from the magnetic fields into an electrical signal. When the magnetic field changes near the sensor, the chip creates an electrical signal that can be used to measure the magnetic field. This information can be used to detect things like the speed of a vehicle or the amount of electricity running through a wire.
