Áo dài

Áo dài is a special type of traditional dress from Vietnam that is worn by both men and women. It is known for its long, flowing design that covers the body from head to toe.

Imagine a long dress that comes down to your feet and has sleeves that reach all the way to your wrists. The dress is very snug at the waist but then gets looser as it goes down to the floor.

Traditionally, the áo dài is made out of special fabrics like silk and it is decorated with intricate patterns and colors. It can also be worn with a long scarf called a "khăn đóng" that is draped over the shoulders and draped down the body.
