Imagine you have a toy castle made out of blocks. You can see it from all angles - the front, the back, the sides, the top. .3ds is a file format that holds information about 3D objects, like your toy castle. It stores information about the shape, size, color, texture, and position of each block in the castle. Just like how you can build and rebuild your castle using the blocks, 3D artists and animators can create and manipulate 3D objects using .3ds files in special computer programs called 3D software. When the 3D objects are finished, they can be used in different ways, such as in movies, video games, or virtual reality experiences.
