ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

1 Samuel 7

Okay kiddo, today I'm going to tell you a story about a man named Samuel and a big battle. Samuel was a very wise man that people looked up to. They saw him as a leader and listened to what he had to say.

One day, the Israelite people were having some trouble with their neighbors, the Philistines. The Philistines had been attacking the Israelites and causing a lot of harm. The Israelites decided they needed to do something about it and asked Samuel for help.

Samuel took charge and guided the Israelites to a big victory. The battle was intense and both sides fought hard. But with Samuel's guidance, the Israelites were able to overcome the Philistines and win the battle.

After the battle, Samuel built an altar to thank God for the victory. He called the altar "Ebenezer" which means "stone of help". The Israelites felt blessed and grateful to God for helping them in their time of need.

So, the lesson we can learn from this story is that even in tough times, we can ask for help and with the right guidance, we can overcome challenges and achieve great things!
