Ok kiddo, so you know how when you watch a video on TV or your iPad, you see lots of tiny little dots on the screen that create the picture, right? Well, when we talk about resolution, we're talking about how many of those tiny little dots there are on the screen.
So a really good resolution means there are a lot of those little dots, which makes the picture look really clear and sharp. And 10K resolution is like super, super good! It means there are 10,000 of those tiny little dots on the screen, which is way more than what most TVs or iPads have right now.
Imagine looking at a picture and being able to see every single little detail, like each individual hair on a person's head, or every single blade of grass in a big field. That's what 10K resolution is like – it makes the picture look almost as real as if you were actually there!
But not many devices can handle that many dots yet, so 10K resolution is mostly used for things like big movie screens or really fancy gaming setups. It might be a while till we see it at home, but who knows what kind of cool things we'll have by then!
