Once upon a time, there was a story told about a group of people who were fighting in a war. These people were called soldiers. One day, they were trapped and surrounded by their enemies who were very strong and powerful. The soldiers knew they couldn't fight anymore, so they came up with a clever plan.

They decided to hide one of their soldiers in a barrel and put him in a ship that was heading back home. This way, the enemy would think that all the soldiers had given up and left, and they'd stop attacking them.

So, the soldiers put their friend in the barrel and loaded it onto the ship. After a while, the ship was stopped by the enemy who wanted to search it for any soldiers. But the soldiers in charge of the ship asked the enemy to wait until they finished delivering salt that was in another barrel on the ship.

At first, the enemy was a little suspicious, but soon they became impatient and allowed the shipment to continue.

When the ship had finally arrived back home, the soldiers opened the barrel to let their friend out, but he had passed away. The soldiers were very sad, but they had accomplished their goal of bringing him home safely.

This story is often told to remind people about the bravery and loyalty of soldiers and how important it is to do everything possible to bring them home.
