In the year 1666, a long time ago in England, a really big fire happened in London. This fire was called the Great Fire of London. It started in a small bakery and spread really quickly because the houses and buildings were made of wood and the weather was dry. The fire burned for 3 whole days and destroyed lots of homes, churches, and shops. It was very scary and lots of people lost their homes and belongings. After the fire, they had to rebuild the city and make it better and safer by using bricks and stones to build the buildings. Thankfully, the fire was eventually put out and people started to rebuild their lives.
