17th-century philosophy

17th-century philosophy was all about trying to understand the world around us. Philosophers in the 17th century thought very hard about why things happen the way they do, and why some things are true and others false. They wrote books and papers full of ideas, asked lots of questions, and tried to figure out the answers. By doing this, they created some of the most important theories of philosophy that are still studied today.
