1923 Bulgarian coup d'état

Okay kiddo, let me explain what happened during the 1923 Bulgarian coup d'état that people might find a little confusing.

In 1923, Bulgaria was ruled by a king named Boris III. But some people didn't like how the king was governing the country. They thought he was being unfair to them. So, they decided to overthrow him and take control of the government. This is called a "coup d'état."

A group of people called the Bulgarian Communist Party (BCP) planned the coup. They wanted to replace the king with a communist government that would treat everyone equally. The BCP was made up of people who believed in communism, which is a political idea that says everyone should be equal and share everything.

On 9 June 1923, the BCP started the coup. They attacked the government, took over the city of Sofia and declared themselves the new leaders of Bulgaria. But the coup failed, and within a few days, the government took back control.

The BCP leaders were arrested, and some of them were put in jail or executed. The people who supported the coup were punished, too. This put an end to the BCP's plans to take power in Bulgaria, and the country continued to be ruled by King Boris III.

So, that's what happened during the 1923 Bulgarian coup d'état. It was when some people tried to take over the government, but they failed.
