1973 Soviet economic reform

In 1973, the Soviet Union (which was a country made up of several different countries that all worked together) tried to make its economy stronger. The economic reform allowed people to buy and sell things at market prices, instead of having the government control all of the prices. This meant that people had more choice in what they could buy, and it also helped the economy by making sure that the prices people paid were fair. The reform helped the Soviet Union's economy to become stronger and more efficient.
