Okay, so let's talk about the 1985 Rajneeshee assassination plot. There was this group of people called the Rajneeshees, and they followed a spiritual leader called Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. They believed in meditation, and they used to live on a big ranch in a place called Oregon in the United States.
Now, here's where things get a little bit complicated. The Rajneeshees wanted to take control of a nearby town called Antelope. They wanted to do this because they wanted to have their own city where they could live according to their beliefs. But there were some people in the town who didn't like the Rajneeshees, so they were not very happy about this.
As a result, things got really intense between the Rajneeshees and the people of Antelope. The Rajneeshees started doing some bad things to try and gain control of the town. They poisoned salad bars in nearby restaurants with a bacteria called Salmonella. This made a lot of people sick, and it was not a nice thing to do at all.
But that's not all. The Rajneeshees also had a plan to kill some important people who were opposing them. They believed that if they got rid of these people, they would have an easier time taking over the town. So they decided to try and assassinate the United States Attorney for Oregon and a county commissioner.
To carry out this plan, they hired a woman named Ma Anand Sheela. Sheela was a very important person in the Rajneeshee group, and she was in charge of their activities. Sheela hired some people to go and kill the Attorney and the commissioner, but luckily, the plan was stopped by the police before it could happen.
The police found out about the assassination plot and arrested Sheela and the people involved in the plan. They were charged with serious crimes and had to go to court. Eventually, Sheela and some others were found guilty and had to spend time in prison for what they did.
So basically, the 1985 Rajneeshee assassination plot was a really bad plan by a group of people who wanted to take control of a town. They did some really mean things, like poisoning people and trying to kill important people. But thankfully, the police found out about it and stopped them, and they had to pay for what they did.
