1987–1989 JVP insurrection

Okay kiddo, so imagine there was a big fight going on in Sri Lanka between the government and a group called the JVP. This fight lasted for about two years, from 1987 to 1989. The JVP wanted to take over the government and they did some really bad things to try and make this happen. They attacked police stations, government buildings, and even innocent people. This made the government really mad and they fought back really hard. A lot of people got hurt or killed in the fighting, and it was a really scary time for everyone. But eventually, the government was able to win the fight and things went back to normal. It's important to remember that violence is never the answer, and it's always better to find peaceful solutions to problems.
