1997 Banjarmasin riot
Okay, so there was this place called Banjarmasin in Indonesia, and in 1997, some people got really angry and started fighting and hurting each other. It was called a riot because lots of people were involved and it was very chaotic.
The reason why they were fighting is because there were some political problems going on, which means that some people in charge were making decisions that lots of other people didn't agree with. This made those people really upset, and they wanted to show how angry they were by causing trouble.
