ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

2-pop

Okay kiddo, so imagine you have 2 candies and your friend has 5 candies. If you want to share your candies equally, you can give 1 candy to your friend and keep 1 candy for yourself. But, what if you have 2 friends? You still only have 2 candies, so you can't give each of your friends 1 candy.

This is kinda like what happens with 2-pop. When you're playing a video game or watching a movie, sometimes you might see two things happen at the same time. But if you were only paying attention to one thing, like the game or the movie, you might miss the other thing. This is because your brain can only focus on one thing at a time.

So, when there are two things happening at the same time in a game or movie, sometimes the game or movie has to choose which thing to show first. That's where 2-pop comes in. It helps the game or movie choose which thing to show first so that you can see everything that's happening.

It's a bit like if you had 2 friends and you wanted to play with both of them at the same time, but you couldn't be in two places at once. So, you might play with one friend first for a little while, and then switch to playing with the other friend. This way, you still get to play with both of your friends, even though you can't be in two places at once.

So, that's the basic idea behind 2-pop. It's a way for games and movies to show you everything that's happening, even if two things are happening at the same time.
