2008 United Kingdom bank rescue package

In 2008, a lot of banks in the UK had money problems. People were worried that if the banks ran out of money, it would cause lots of problems for people and the UK economy, so the government stepped in to help. They gave the banks money so they wouldn't go out of business and people's money and jobs would be safe. This was called the 2008 UK Bank Rescue Package.
