2008–09 Keynesian resurgence

The 2008-09 Keynesian resurgence was a period when the economist John Maynard Keynes's ideas about how to manage and improve the economy became very popular. During this period, many governments around the world decided to use Keynes' economic policies to try and help their economies recover from the recession and financial crisis of 2008-09. Keynes believed that government should spend money to help the economy during hard times, like the recession. He thought that it was important for the government to create jobs and promote economic growth through spending and providing loans and other assistance to businesses and people. This can help reduce unemployment, increase consumer spending, and help businesses stay afloat. So, governments began to spend more money to help their economies during the recession, and this is how the 2008-09 Keynesian resurgence came about.
