2011 United States public employee protests

In 2011, people who worked for the government in the United States (public employees) felt they needed a better deal from the government. They were unhappy with their salaries, working conditions, and benefits. So, they organized protests around the country to make their voices heard. They held rallies and marches, wrote letters, and even went on strike in some places. They wanted their employers (the government) to listen to their concerns and make changes so they could have better pay, better working conditions, and better benefits.
