ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

2017 in Philippine music

Hi there little one!

I'm going to tell you about music from Philippines in the year 2017. Do you like music? I do! :)

So in 2017, there were lots of new Filipino songs and artists that were really popular. These songs were heard on the radio, on TV, and in movies.

One of the most popular artists was Moira Dela Torre. She sang a song called "Malaya" that lots of people loved. The song was very emotional and about being free. Her voice is beautiful and it made people feel like they could relate to her music.

Another popular song was "Tadhana" by Up Dharma Down. It's a bit older song, but people still love it. It's about finding someone important in your life and feeling lucky to have them. I bet you can dance to this one!

There was also a special concert that happened in 2017 called "Buwan ng Mga Musikero" (which means "Month of Musicians"). It was a concert that happened every week of the month and it featured different musicians each time. This was really exciting because it gave lots of musicians a chance to shine and share their music with lots of people.

Lastly, 2017 was the year that we lost one of the greatest Filipino musicians of all time. His name was Rico J. Puno and he was known for singing many love songs throughout his career. He will always be remembered as a legend in Filipino music.

So there you have it, little one! That's a brief summary of what happened in Philippine music in 2017. Do you have any favorite Filipino songs? :)
