2D geometric modeling

Geometric modeling is a way to make pictures and shapes using math. Think of it like drawing with numbers instead of colored markers.

2D geometric modeling means that we are making pictures that are flat, like a piece of paper. We use things called points, lines, and shapes to create our picture.

A point is just a little dot. We can use points to mark important spots in our picture.

A line is like a straight path that goes on forever in both directions. We can use lines to make shapes or connect points.

Shapes are flat things that have a certain size and shape, like a square, circle, or triangle. We can use shapes to make more complicated pictures.

To make our 2D geometric models, we use special tools like a ruler or compass to measure and draw lines and shapes. We can also use a computer program to help us make our pictures.

By making different shapes and putting them together in different ways, we can make all kinds of cool pictures and designs!
