3D ultrasound

Okay kiddo, imagine that we can see inside mommy's tummy to see you growing there. But we cannot just look inside like we do with a jar of cookies, we need a special machine called an ultrasound machine. Now, there are two types of ultrasound, one is 2D that shows a flat picture like Mario on TV, but another one is the 3D ultrasound that shows a picture like a clay model of Mario. The 3D ultrasound can show us what you may look like when you come out of mommy's tummy! But first, a special gel-like lotion will be put on mommy's tummy to help the ultrasound wand slide around easily. Then the wand sends out sound waves that bounce off your body and come back to the machine. The machine turns the sound waves into a picture of your body. The 3D ultrasound makes many pictures from different angles, and the computer puts them together to make a 3D image of you. We can even see your arms, legs, and face. Isn't that amazing?!
