3D Slicer is a free software program that allows people to look at, measure, manipulate, and analyze 3D images of body parts. The 3D images are made up of many tiny slices which are layered on top of each other to make a 3D image. The software then lets you move around and manipulate each slice so you can explore the 3D image in different ways. 3D Slicer is a helpful tool for doctors and scientists who need to get a better idea of what is going on inside of a person's body.
