A Frank Statement

Okay, kiddo, imagine you have a cookie in front of you and someone asks if you ate it. If you say "no" but you actually ate it, that's not very honest, right? Now, imagine a grown-up is in charge of something important and they know something that might upset people, but they still tell the truth about it. That's called a frank statement. It means they are being honest, even if it's not easy or makes them look bad. Like saying "yes, I made a mistake" when someone asks if you did something wrong. Being frank is important because it helps people trust each other and work together better.
