A Noiseless Patient Spider

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen a spider crawling around making little noises? No? Well, that's because spiders don't usually make noise.

Now, imagine a spider that doesn't make any noise at all, like it's just very quiet. This is what we call a "noiseless" spider. And there's a poem by a man named Walt Whitman that talks about this kind of spider.

The poem is called "A Noiseless Patient Spider" and it's about a spider that's trying to spin its web. The spider keeps trying and trying to spin its web, even though it doesn't have any help and it's all alone.

The spider is "patient" because it doesn't give up, even though it might take a long time to make its web. And it's "noiseless" because, as we said before, spiders don't usually make noise.

So the poem is telling us that the spider is a lot like us humans. We might feel alone sometimes, or like we don't have any help. But if we keep working hard and being patient, we'll be able to make something beautiful, just like the spider makes its web.

So the next time you see a spider, remember that it might be a "noiseless patient spider" just like in the poem!
