ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

ABC Signature

An ABC signature is like a special code that helps make sure something is real and not fake. When grown-ups need to make sure that something important, like a document or a package, is really from the person or place it says it's from, they use an ABC signature.

Here's how it works: the person or place making the important thing uses a special computer program or machine to create a code that is unique to them. This code is like a secret handshake or a password that only they know. They put this code on the important thing, like a signature.

When the grown-up needs to check that the important thing is real, they use a special machine to read the ABC signature. This machine can tell if the code on the signature matches the code that the person or place is supposed to have. If the codes match, then the important thing is real and not fake. If the codes don't match, then the important thing might be fake and someone might be trying to trick the grown-up.

So, an ABC signature is like a secret code that helps grown-ups know if something important is real or not.
