ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

AGRIS

Agris is a Latin word that means “field.” It is also the name of an international system that helps people who work in agriculture, aquaculture and forestry (growing plants and animals). It collects information from all over the world related to agriculture and forestry, and stores it in a database that can be accessed by anyone. This makes it easier for people to find the information they need to do their jobs better. For example, a farmer in India can look up information on the best soil for growing a particular crop, or a forester in the United States can find out the best time to plant a certain kind of tree. Agris helps all of us better understand how to take care of our planet so that it can be sustained for future generations.
