AIAW women's basketball tournament

The AIAW Women's Basketball Tournament was an event held every year from 1972 to 1982. It was a tournament for female college basketball teams from around the United States. The teams would compete against each other to try to win the tournament and be named the AIAW Women's Basketball Champions. Every year, the best teams from around the country would play in this tournament. It was a very exciting time for women's basketball and it helped create a lot of opportunities for female athletes.
