ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

ALGOL 68C

Algol 68c is a computer programming language. It's kind of like a secret code that people use to tell computers what to do.

Think of it like you are telling someone how to make a sandwich. You might say "get two slices of bread, put some peanut butter on one slice, put some jelly on the other slice, then put them together."

In algol 68c, people use special words and symbols to write out instructions for the computer. For example, they might use the symbol "+" to mean "add" or "plus."

It's not easy to learn algol 68c, kind of like how it's not easy to learn a new language. But once you learn it, you can do really cool things with computers, like make games or create new tools for people to use.
