AN/PEQ-1 SOFLAM

Okay kiddo, so an/peq-1 SOFLAM is a special tool that soldiers use to help them aim their weapons. It's kind of like a fancy laser pointer that can see really far away.

The an/peq-1 SOFLAM stands for "Special Operations Forces Laser Marker" and it can be attached to lots of different kinds of guns. When a soldier looks through the scope of their gun, they can also see through the SOFLAM and use it to point at a target they want to shoot.

But the SOFLAM does more than just point at things. It also gives the soldier important information about how far away the target is and what angle they need to aim at. This makes it easier for them to hit the target even if it's really far away.

The an/peq-1 SOFLAM is especially useful for soldiers who are doing special missions where they need to hit specific targets without causing too much damage to the surrounding area. By using the SOFLAM, they can be more precise and accurate with their shots.

So, in simple terms, the an/peq-1 SOFLAM helps soldiers aim their guns at far away targets by giving them important information about where to aim.
