ANSI escape code

Hello little one, have you ever seen colors or special characters on your computer screen? That's because of something called ANSI escape codes!

ANSI stands for American National Standards Institute, which is a group of people who make the rules for how things should work in America. Escape codes are instructions that tell your computer to do something special or different.

So, when you see a special character or color on your computer screen, it means that the program you're using sent an escape code to your computer that said something like, "Hey, computer! Display this character in green!"

And the computer says, "Ok, got it!" and follows the instructions in the escape code to display the character or color that was requested.

So simple, right? That's what ANSI escape codes are all about!
