ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

ARTICLE 19

Article 19 is a rule that says everyone has the right to express themselves freely. This means we can say what we think, write what we want, and communicate with others without being stopped by the government or anyone else. It's kind of like being able to share your toys, thoughts or feelings with others if you choose to.

Sometimes grown-ups can be mean and may try to stop us from saying or writing things that they don't like. Article 19 protects us from this kind of behavior, and it reminds people to be nice to one another and let everyone have their own opinions. However, sometimes if we use our words to hurt someone else, it can be harmful and may not be allowed. Article 19 also reminds us that being careful with our words is important, and we should always try to be kind and considerate of others.
