ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

AS2

AS2 stands for "Applicability Statement 2". It's a way for computers to send messages to each other in a safe and secure way.

Imagine you have a secret message that you want to send to your friend. You could write it down on a piece of paper and give it to them, but what if someone else saw it and tried to read it? That wouldn't be good.

With AS2, your computer encrypts your message before sending it. This means that it turns your message into a jumbled-up mess that only your friend can unscramble. It's sort of like putting your message in a secret code that only your friend knows how to crack.

But not only does AS2 keep your message safe, it also makes sure that your friend actually gets it. When your friend's computer receives your message, it sends a message back to your computer to say "hey, I got it!" This is called a "receipt".

So AS2 is like a secret code that keeps your messages safe and makes sure your friends get them. Pretty cool, huh?
